The DLMS source code library has been widely implemented across geographies in over 50 countries for the past 5 years. Our close association with the standards bodies and companion standards, and with unmatched customization and flexibility make Kalkitech DLMS solution the most stable and scalable for any metering or embedded system application. Also we have 22 DLMS UA certified meter models (belonging to various companies) to our credit including 19 in Europe and 16 in South America.
Note:
The SCLs contain the DLMS protocol stack layers written in ANSI C and have no platform- specific code. However the SCLs contain hooks for users to add-in their platform-specific code to eventually run on their target hardware.
DLMS CLIENT SOURCE AND OBJECT CODE LIBRARIES
The DLMS Client Source Code Library is a product from Kalkitech to support OEMs in implementing DLMS protocol in Meter Data Collection Units as well as Parameterization tools. It will be delivered as ANSI C Source Code Library which could be integrated either as source code or as Dynamic link library (shared object library for Linux) to develop a complete DLMS client application(AMR/SCADA/meter parameterization/data management software) on any platform(Windows/Linux/other OS). SCL will be shipped along with a sample application illustrating usage of various library functions.
DLMS SERVER SOURCE AND OBJECT CODE LIBRARIES
The DLMS Server Source Code Library released as a product from Kalkitech to support OEMs in implementing DLMS protocol in Energy Meters.
Kalkitech’s DLMS hardware products are an amalgamation of its two core technical competency areas, viz. Protocol Libraries and its implementation in Rugged, Secure and Reliable Hardware Devices. Kalkitech’s DLMS to SCADA gateways has been used in over 30 countries, while its Data Concentrators and Meter Data Acquisition systems has found use in numerous AMR/AMI projects.
Meter Interface Cards (MIC) and Meter Interface Units (MIU), is another major product group that enables non DLMS meters to comply with the architecture requirements, through customized solutions.

- Meter Data Acquisition System
SYNC 5000 is one the latest products under Kalkitech’s SYNC portfolio as is specifically designed for a scalable and distributed architecture model for meter data acquisition. SYNC 5000 can consolidate meter data from many thousands of meters and provide this consolidated information over open standards based interface to a Metering Head System. The solution relies either on the SYNC Gateways network or terminal servers, leased lines and modem banks to provide the communication channels and has built in support for a variety of open metering protocols like DLMS/COSEM, Modbus, IEC-62056-21 (61107) etc. in addition to monitoring and control protocols like Modbus, DNP3, IEC-101, IEC-104, IEC61850 etc
Kalkitech offers OPC add-ins through its product DLMS Explorer. DLMS Explorer is an ideal fit for requirements of meter reading applications providing out of the box connectivity for DLMS meters and devices, and universally accepted OPC interface to meter data and also be a handy tool for meter firmware developers or test engineers as a sample DLMS Client application/test application while developing DLMS server.

1.METER READING APPLICATIONS
DLMS Explorer enables applications such as AMR, parameterization software, SCADA to access DLMS meter data using the widely accepted OPC interface. The applications can readily connect to the DLMS Explorer using OPC and perform Read/Write DLMS meter data.
2.DLMS CLIENT TOOL - FOR SERVER DEVELOPMENT AND TESTING
DLMS Explorer will be a handy and cost effective tool if your need is limited to a DLMS Client tool for viewing/validating DLMS Server(meter) data. With its configuration GUI, Data view and Protocol analyzer, DLMS Explorer can be used as a stand alone application allowing user a easy mean for communicating with DLMS meter and also to monitor the data.
Kalkitech has been actively working with DLMS standards start from the emergence of the standard and has got rich experience in this domain. DLMS Services team utilize this experience in providing integration services ranging from implementing DLMS protocol in customer devices/application to full life cycle management and support.
Kalkitech has completed a number of DLMS implementation for various Meter manufacturers, AMR/AMI systems, utilities etc., where we take the complete responsibility of design, development and testing of the DLMS interface and integrating the same to the customer specific interfaces. Various OEMs have realized the advantages of utilizing Kalkitech DLMS Service, which drastically reduces the time to market for their product and assured conformance to the standards. The development service is completed with a knowledge transfer phase where the technical team of the customer is enabled to manage and maintain their product.
Kalkitech consultancy service in DLMS is aimed to empower the customers in upgrading/migrating their products to have DLMS support. We provide consultancy service starting from the specification phase to certification phase. Technical help from our experienced resources can be utilized by OEMs to review and verify the designs and identifying fixes for the issues faced during development and testing. On-site and offshore consultancy is provided by Kalkitech.
Kalkitech provides feature rich trainings in DLMS. We have various training programs intended for various audiences ranging from DLMS basics to advanced integration concepts. The schedules and durations of the trainings are highly customizable based on the specific requirements of the attendees. Standard tools and simulators are used to provide hands on experience for the training attendees. Customers can opt for the training to happen at their premise or in Kalkitech.
